Gaber Electric, Inc. is an electrical contractor providing installations for residential, commercial and industrial customers in the greater Rhinelander area. Specialty services include engineering services, energy saving systems, emergency power installations, computer cabling and maintenance contracts.

Gene and Bernice Gaber started the business in 1967 at a location on 918 Mason Street in Rhinelander. In 1969 the business purchased Rhinelander Electric located at 1538 N. Stevens Street. This address has been home for more than 50 years.

In the 1970's Gaber Electric purchased Crandon Electric from Bill Marshall. Contracting in the Crandon area continued for several years anticipating the construction of the Crandon Mine Project. When the mine project became delayed indefinitely the Crandon office was closed.

In 1986 Gaber Electric expanded its capabilities with the addition of an Electrical Engineer to the staff. Design/Build opportunities were pursued in addition to the conventional contracting projects.

In 1999 Gene retired and sold the business to sons Dave and Tom.

Currently Gaber Electric has 6 employees and continues to carry on the family tradition established over 50 years ago. The business has experienced many changes as new technology and business practices evolved during the last 50 years. Many wonderful employees have come and gone and shared in the progress and growth of the business.

Gaber Electric, Inc. is proud to be a part of the Rhinelander business community. We thank our employees for their on-going dedication and our customers for the opportunities to serve them in the past, currently and into the future. We look forward as Rhinelander grows to continue supporting our local schools, churches, organizations and business partners.
